Abstract

LIGA E PRODUTO FORMADO DE UMA LIGA. Uma família de ligas para uso em aplicações médicas, de contato elétrico e de joalheria inclui como componentes primários paládio e boro, e pelo menos um de rutênio, rênio, platina, ouro, zircónio, tungstênio, cobalto, níquel, tântalo e irídio. Uma modalidade alternativa inclui paládio e rênio e/ou rutênio com um elemento adicional irídio, platina, tungstênio, boro, ouro, zircónio, cobalto, níquel e tântalo. A presente família de ligas tem uma alta resistência, alta relação de opacidade e características de biocompatibilidade, sendo também ao mesmo tempo trabalhável em várias configurações. Quando exigido, algumas das ligas também oferecem capacidades de tratamento térmico pós formação (endurecimento por envelhecimento) para níveis de dureza e resistência ainda mais altos.
