Abstract
MéTODO PARA A RECUPERAçãO DE COBRE A PARTIR DE CONCENTRADO DE CALCOPIRITA Método para lixiviar cobre a partir de concentrados contendo sulfeto de cobre, tais como calcopirita, incluindo o uso de pinta como o catalisador para a redução férrica para eliminar a passivação da superfície da calcopirita, o processo sendo executado sob condições tais que a pirita não está materialmente oxidada, por exemplo, mantendo-se o potencial da solução de operação em um nível adequado. A lixiviação é executada em um meio de sulfato ácido e poderá incluir a oxidação através de gás contendo oxigênio. O cobre lixiviado é então recuperado, por exemplo, através de extração por solvente e eletroprodução. O processo de lixiviação pode resultar na extração virtualmente completa de cobre na pressão atmosférica, tão rapidamente quanto em 4h.
