Abstract
DISPOSITIVO DE REDE, PROGRAMA DE COMPUTADOR E APARELHO PARA COMUNICAçõES DE INTER-DOMìNIO. Aparelho para sistemas de computador de multi-domínios inclui múltiplos domínios do sistema virtual, cada qual possuindo uma instância de direcionamento independente associada. A comutação virtual é criada para direcionar os pacotes entre os domínios. A comutação virtual é configurada para operar substancialmente como se fosse uma comutação da camada física-2. A comutação virtual e os domínios virtuais são conectados juntos por interfaces virtuais, onde a comutação virtual, os domínios virtuais, e as interfaces virtuais são todas criadas no programa. Em adição, os protocolos tais como ARP, IP, e/ou IPv6 operam nas interfaces virtuais substancialmente da mesma forma que na Ethernet. Também, cada domínio tem um acionador de hardware que se comporta como um acionador Ethernet, e tem um endereço tipo-Ethernet de 48 bits que é usado para o endereço físico.
