Abstract

NúCLEO ABSORVENTE EXTENSìVEL E ARTIGO ABSORVENTE A presente invenção provê um artigo absorvente, tal como um absorvente higiênico ou absorvente catamenial, em que o artigo absorvente tem uma direção longitudinal e uma direção lateral, o artigo absorvente tem: a) uma camada superior permeável ao líquido, em que a camada superior tem uma extensibilidade na direção lateral de pelo menos 30% a 70% em 4N/50 mm, b) uma camada de forro impermeável ao líquido laminada na camada superior, em que a camada de forro tem uma extensibilidade maior na direção lateral do que na direção longitudinal e a extensibilidade na direção lateral é de pelo menos entre 5% e 40% em 4N/S0 mm, e c) um núcleo absorvente posicionado entre a camada superior e a camada de forro, em que o núcleo absorvente tem uma pluralidade de fendas não-lineares e/ou fendas lineares em um ângulo agudo em relação à direção longitudinal através do núcleo absorvente. O núcleo absorvente pode ser de uma variedade de materiais1 contudo um exemplo especifico é um núcleo absorvente com uma camada de material tendo um peso básico de entre 20 g/m¬ ¬ a 1.000 g/m¬ ¬ e e uma camada de fibras assentadas pneumaticamente, camadas de fibras de formas combinadas, camadas de fibras fundidas sopradas, ou laminados das mesmas, e laminados de camadas de fibras assentada pneumaticamente, camadas de fibras de formas combinadas ou camadas de fibras fundidas sopradas, ou laminados das mesmas com um suporte não-tecido. O núcleo absorvente geralmente terá uma relação de resistência à tração na direção longitudinal e resistência à rasgadura na direção lateral com um valor na faixa de 3,5:1 a 6:1. A invenção provê ainda uma matriz de perfuração para formar fendas em um material de núcleo absorvente não-tecido e um processo para formar um artigo absorvente usando tal matriz de perfuração.
