Abstract

COMPOSIçãO PARA CONSERVAçãO DE MADEIRA, E, MéTODO PARA CONSERVAR MADEIRA São providas composições para a conservação de madeira e materiais celulósicos e lignocelulósicos relacionados. As composições para conservação de madeira da presente invenção contêm um agente conservante orgânico e um ácido orgânico e podem ser solubilizadas em uma fase orgânica essencialmente livre de compostos orgânicos voláteis (VOC). Os ácidos orgânicos podem servir a várias finalidades nas composições da presente invenção: (1) aumentada solubilidade do conservante na fase orgânica, (2) gradiente de distribuição melhorado do conservante ativo em madeira tratada ou (3) redução da lixívia do conservante.
