Abstract

MéTODO PARA APLICAçãO DE ADESIVO A COMPONENTES DE CéLULA ELETROQUìMICA Um método para aplicação de adesivo líquido a superfícies dos componentes de uma célula eletroquímica mediante o emprego de um aplicador com válvula de agulha. O adesivo líquido é aplicado mediante a dispensação através de uma ponta tubular conectada a um aplicador com válvula de agulha acionado pneumaticamente. O método é eficaz para a aplicação de adesivos a superfícies estreitas ou de difícil acesso nos componentes de células, de maneira precisa, consistente e reproduzível. Em uma aplicação específica, o adesivo pode ser aplicado ao degrau estreito e rebaixado que circunda a porção terminal do compartimento do cátodo de uma célula de tipo botão de zinco/ar Nessa aplicação, o compartimento do cátodo pode, tipicamente, ser girado a velocidades entre cerca de 5 e 105 rad/s (entre 50 e 1.000 revoluções por minuto) conforme o adesivo é aplicado ao mesmo a partir do aplicador. O adesivo proporciona um lacre hermético entre o compartimento do cátodo e o conjunto de cátodo, impedindo assim o vazamento de eletrólitos da célula.
