Abstract
DISPOSITIVO DE PONTA, SUPERFìCIE DE SUSTENTAçãO AERODINáMICA, AERONAVE, E, HELICóPTERO. Um dispositivo de ponta (10) para atuar como uma continuação exterior de uma asa de aeronave (2) ou outra superfície de sustentação aerodinâmica tem um ângulo de inclinação descendente, uma borda de avanço (3, 8,11) recuada em relação à borda de avanço da superfície de sustentação interna, e uma corda que se reduz na direção exterior do dispositivo. Um equilíbrio favorável entre redução de arraste induzido e momento de encurvamento na raiz de asa pode, deste modo, ser atingido. Preferivelmente, o dispositivo também tem uma porção inclinada para cima em suas extremidade de raiz de modo que a inclinação para baixo começa a partir de um local pela envergadura, relativamente elevado, deste modo atenuando quaisquer problemas de vão livre com respeito ao solo.
