Abstract
"ACELERAçãO DA DESCOBERTA DE PONTOS DE ACESSO EM REDE DE áREA LOCAL SEM FIO". Método de aceleração (100) da descoberta de pontos de acesso (APs) em rede de área local sem fio inicia-se pela transmissão de pacote de anúncio por AP por meio de pelo menos um canal diferente de canal no qual o AP transmite sinais de farol. O pacote de anúncio é recebido por estação (STA), que determina em seguida a associação ou não ao AP transmissor. O pacote de anúncio pode incluir informações de reassociação, de tal forma que a STA possa associar-se ao AP com base nas informações do pacote de anúncio, ou informações de tempo, de tal forma que a STA possa sintonizar o AP e receber o farol do AP sem permanecer no AP por período de tempo maior.
