Abstract

"PROCESSO DE EXTRUSãO CONTìNUA PARA A PRODUçãO DE POLìMEROS GRAFTIZADOS". Um processo de extrusão contínua para a funcionalização de polímeros através de extrusão reativa. O processo usa um reator de extrusão contínua compreendendo pelo menos dois extrusores seqüenciais com parafuso independentemente acionados muito intimamente acoplados tendo uma proporção de comprimento para diâmetro efetiva total maior do que 60 para 1 e tão alta quanto 112 para 1 e fornecendo tempos de reação grandemente aumentados para produção eficaz de um polímero graftizado tendo um alto nível de funcionalização. Secagem da alimentação polimérica e realizada no reatar de extrusão contínua. Múltiplas injeções de reagentes podem ser fornecidas. Modificação por cisalhamento do peso molecular do polímero graftizado é realizada no reator de extrusão contínua após as reações de funcionalização. Um reator de extrusão contínua e um polímero graftizado tendo um alto nível de funcionalização também são divulgados.
