Abstract
CONJUNTO INJETOR DE COMBUSTìVEL. Um conjunto injetor de combustível para um motor diesel de locomotiva baseado em emissão EMD 710. O conjunto injetor de combustível inclui uma agulha deslizantemente posicionada no interior de um furo de um corpo de válvula do conjunto injetor, onde a pressão de combustível introduzida no interior da câmara causa a agulha a abrir um bico pulverizador. Uma mola montada no interior do furo força a agulha a fechar o bico pulverizador quando o combustível não está sendo aplicado. A mola é uma mola helicoidal morta incluindo espiras inativas onde pelo menos partes das espiras em ambas as extremidades da mola estão em íntimo contato entre si de modo a reduzir o desgaste da mola durante a operação do conjunto. Devido à mola helicoidal morta ter desgaste reduzido, o ponto prefixado VOP do conjunto injetor de combustível pode é reduzido, o que reduz as emissões de NOx.
