Abstract
MéTODO PARA A TRANSMISSãO DE SINAIS EM UM SISTEMA DE COMUNICAçãO DIGITAL, MìDIA DE ARMAZENAMENTO QUE PODE SER LIDA PELO COMPUTADOR, TRANSMISSOR PARA UM SISTEMA DE COMUNICAçãO DIGITAL, ESTAçãO BASE DE UM SISTEMA DE COMUNICAçãO SEM FIO DIGITAL E ESTAçãO MóVEL DE UM SISTEMA DE COMUNICAçãO SEM FIO DIGITAL. Trata-se de um método para aumentar a confiabilidade da estimativa de canal em um sistema de comunicação digital mediante a redução da ambigüidade no reconhecimento dos símbolos recebidos avaliados para a estimativa de canal. Uma primeira pluralidade de bits é mapeada para um estado de modulação de acordo com um determinado mapeamento de Gray de números binários para o estado de modulação e é transmitida. A pluralidade de bits é retransmitida pelo menos uma vez, com um subconjunto de bits contidos na pluralidade de bits invertidos, e mapeados para estados de modulação adicionais de acordo com o mesmo mapeamento de Gray. Os bits a serem invertidos são determinados de uma maneira tal que o número de resultados da soma de vetores diferentes que pode ser obtido, para todas as combinações de valores de bits dentro da primeira pluralidade de bits, ao adicionar os vetores que representam valores complexos do primeiro estado de modulação e de estados de modulação adicionais em um plano complexo, é mais baixo do que o número de estados de modulação diferentes dentro do mapeamento de Gray.
