Abstract

PROTEçãO BALìSTICA LEVE COMO ELEMENTO DE CONSTRUçãO. A presente invenção proporciona um elemento de proteção contra objetos, tais como, projéteis de armas de fogo ou, alternativamente, dispersões de armas de fogo, por exemplo, de granadas de mão. O elemento de proteção compreende uma blindagem (1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9) adaptada, de tal modo que o objeto (10) possa penetrar na mesma (1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9), em pelo menos uma área (2); pelo menos uma camada intermediária (3), compreendendo grânulos (27) dispostos dentro da blindagem (1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9), cuja camada intermediária (3) e blindagem (1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9) são dispostos para desacelerar o dito objeto (10) . A invenção é ainda caracterizada pelo fato de que os grânulos (27) são dispostos móveis relativamente entre si; o espaço na camada intermediária (3) que não é ocupado pelos grânulos (27) é enchido com um meio gasoso, para possibilitar contato entre os grânulos adjacentes (27); os grânulos (27) apresentam propriedades mecânicas, de modo que um grânulo (27) é esmagado e espalhado na camada intermediária (3) quando o mesmo é atingido por um objeto (10), ao mesmo tempo em que os grânulos adjacentes (27) são submetidos a impulsos com uma subseqüente dissipação de energia, de modo que o objeto e fragmentos do mesmo permaneçam no elemento de proteção com um reduzido risco de ricochete.
