UNIDADE DE TACóGRAFO ELETRÈNICO PARA VEìCULO AUTOMOTIVO. A presente invenção se refere a uma unidade de tacógrafo que compreende ao menos um cartão principal (3) com microprocessador(es) para o tratamento e o armazenamento de dados tacográficos, a dita unidade de tacógrafo sendo adaptada para realizar operações de segurança empregando algoritmos codificados para autenticar ao menos uma parte dos dados tacográfico. caracterizada por: - o dito cartão principal (3) compreender ao menos um microprocessador (4), dito microprocessador principal, para o tratamento dos dados tacográficos, - a unidade compreender ao menos um circuito (20) fisicamente protegido dito circuito CSP, distinto do(s) microprocessador(es) principal(is), no qual são armazenados ao menos os dados de segurança secretos. este circuito CSP (20) sendo adaptado para realizar ao menos uma parte das operações de segurança quando a unidade é embarcada em um veículo.
