Abstract

IDENTIFICADOR DO TIPO MODEM DSL; CONTROLADOR PARA UM SISTEMA DSL; MéTODOS DE IDENTIFICAR UM MODEM DO TIPO DSL E PRODUTO DE PROGRAMA COMPUTACIONAL. Tratam-se de dados operacionais coletados a partir de um sistema de comunicação, tal como, um sistema DSL, podem incluir dados excludentes e/ou dados indicativos que podem ser analisados com a finalidade de determinar o tipo de dispositivo de comunicação, tal como, um modem DSL, que gerou os dados operacionais. Os dados excludentes, se existirem, podem ser usados para desconsiderar um ou mais tipos de dispositivos de comunicação. Os dados indicativos, se existirem, podem ser usados para influenciar a seleção de um tipo de dispositivo de comunicação, tal como, ao designar classificações para características de tipo de dispositivo de comunicação e/ou para tipos de dispositivo de comunicação. A informação que se relaciona a diversos dispositivos de comunicação pode ser mantida em um banco de dados ou similar. Em um sistema DSL, os tipos de modem podem ser avaliados e selecionados por uma unidade de identificação ou identificador de modem que coleta e analisa os dados operacionais utilizando os meios de coleta e meios de identificação. O identificador pode ser parte de um controlador, tal como, uma Central DSM ou similar executada em e/ou com um computador e acoplada ao sistema DSL. A informação, tal como, uma seleção de tipo de modem pode então ser usada pelo controlador para gerar sinais de modem e/ou de operação de sistema para auxiliar na operação do sistema DSL.
