Abstract
DISPOSITIVO DE AIRBAG COM UMA SEçãO DE CONEXãO DESTRUTìVEL ENTRE UM GERADOR DE GáS E UMA LANçA DE GáS NãO-METáLICA. A presente invenção refere-se a um dispositivo de airbag compreendendo um gerador de gás (1), em uma extremidade do qual é disposto um difusor (2) com orifícios de descarga radiais (3), e no qual é concretizada uma seção de junção (19). Uma lança de gás não-metálica (6, 15) é fixada na seção de junção (19) a montante do difusor (2) de modo a acomodar a mesma. A lança de gás não-metálica (6, 15) é provida com um meio de reforço (5, 18) ou conectada em um meio de reforço (5, 18) na extremidade axial da mesma que é associada com a seção de junção (19). O dito meio de reforço (5, 18) redireciona o fluxo de gás (4) do difusor (3) da direção de descarga radial do mesmo para uma direção de descarga axial durante a operação normal do gerador de gás (1) enquanto impulsiona a lança de gás (6, 15) em uma maneira termicamente efetiva na dita seção de junção (19). Em caso de um grande efeito térmico (8) sobre a seção de junção (19) do lado de fora e de uma autoignição aleatória do gerador de gás (1), o material de lança de gás e o meio de reforço (5, 18) são destruidos, sem conseqüênte redirecionamento do fluxo de gás (4) da direção radial para a axial.
