Abstract

APARELHO E MÉTODO PARA MEDIR DENSIDADE APARENTE DE LACUNA DE UMA MANTA DE SUPORTE DE CONVER SOR CATALÍTICO. A densidade aparente de lacuna (GBD) de uma manta de suporte envolvendo um substrato catalítico em um conversor catalítico é calculada utilizando uma largura média de lacuna opticamente determinada por um sistema de câmaras. O peso da manta determinado em uma estação de montagem é codificado com código de barras e colocado em um rótulo com código de barras ligado com o conversor sob teste. Um controlador programável calcula uma largura média de lacuna a partir de uma pluralidade de leituras de câmara. A GBD é então calculada utilizando o peso e as dimensões da manta, e a GBD é comparada com uma faixa aceitável para deter- minar a aprovação/falha do conversor.
