Abstract

CABO, E, MÉTODO PARA FABRICAR UM CABO ELÉTRICO. Um cabo compreende pelo menos dois núcleos trançados juntos, uma camada de revestimento interna expandida, uma blindagem metálica substancialmente circular parcialmente contendo o revestimento interno para formar interstícios não preenchidos fora do revestimento interno, e um revestimento externo polimérico. O revestimento interno expandido substancialmente toma a forma da periferia dos núcleos trançados, fornecendo uma sessão transversal não circular para o revestimento interno expandido. Um método de produzir um cabo compreende fornecer pelo menos dois núcleos, expandir um material polimérico, extrusar o material polimérico expandido em volta dos núcleos, e permitir que o material polimérico expandido colapse nos núcleos. Uma blindagem metálica substancialmente circular é aplicada, resultando em uma pluralidade de vazios não preenchidos entre o revestimento interno e a blindagem metálica. Um revestimento externo é extrusado na blindagem metálica.
