Abstract
POLIPEPTÍDEO ISOLADO, SEQÜÊNCIA DE ÁCIDO NUCLEICO ISOLADA, ÁCIDO NUCLEICO ISOLADO, VETOR DE EXPRESSçO, MÉTODOS DE PRODUZIR UMA PLANTA TRANSGÊNICA E DE MODULAR O MVEL DE UMA PORCENTAGEM EM PESO DE COMPOSTO DE ARMAZENAGEM DE SEMENTE EM UMA PLANTA, PLANTA TRANSGÊNICA, E, SEMENTE. Esta invenção diz respeito no geral às seqUências de ácido nucleico que codificam proteínas que estão relacionadas com a presença de compostos de armazenagem de semente em plantas. Mais especificamente, a presente invenção diz respeito às seqUências de ácido nucleico equivalentes a FAD2 que codificam proteínas reguladoras do metabolismo de lipídeo e ao uso destas seqUências em plantas transgênicas. Em particular, a invenção está direcionada aos métodos para manipular compostos relacionados com o metabolismo de lipídeo e ao aumento do nível de óleo e alteração da composição de ácido graxo em plantas e sementes. A invenção ainda diz respeito a métodos de usar estes novos polipeptídeos vegetais para estimular o crescimento vegetal e/ou para aumentar o rendimento e/ou a composição de compostos de armazenagem de semente.
