Abstract

BIOCATALISADOR SURFACTANTE PARA REMEDIAçãO DE METAIS ORGáNICOS E PESADOS RECALCITRANTES. Novas cepas bacterianas isoladas e purificadas foram identificadas, que possuem a capacidade de degradar hidrocarbonetos de petróleo, incluindo uma variedade de PAHs. Diversos isolados ainda exibem a capacidade de produzir um biossurfactante. A combinação da capacidade produtora de biossurfactante, juntamente com a capacidade de degradar PAHs, aumenta a eficiência, com que PAHs podem ser degradados. Além disso, o biossurfactante ainda proporciona uma capacidade adicional de se ligar a lons de metais pesados para remoção de um meio ambiente terrestre ou aquático.
