A presente invenção se refere a uma unidade de comunicação (10), rede e método para comunicação dentro de uma rede de comunicação, uma unidade compreendendo uma porção de transceptor, uma unidade de processamento (201) e, pelo menos, um arranjo de interface (206, 207, 208) para comunicação com, pelo menos, um dispositivo periférico (20, 30, 40).
