Abstract
"PROCESSAMENTO DE HIDROGEL". A presente invenção refere-se a métodos e aparelhos para hidratação de lentes oftálmicas e lixiviação de excesso de materiais das lentes oftálmicas. O método inclui as etapas de expor as lentes de contato com uma solução de hidratação compreendendo cerca de 30 a 70% de álcool isopropílico e água. Em algumas modalidades, a solução de hidratação é mantida a uma elevada temperatura. A exposição a uma primeira solução de hidratação faz com que as lentes oftálmicas intumesçam a um tamanho maior do que seu tamanho funcional, e a exposição a uma segunda solução oftálmica faz com que as lentes encolham de volta a seu tamanho funcional.
