Abstract

FOR HYDROCEPHALIA VALVES, consists essentially of a mechanism for use in hydrocephalus valves for flow containment in cerebrospinal fluid systems used in medical treatment, using the pressure differential principle, where said anti-seizure mechanism -siphon (M) must be present inside a silicone box and receives the cerebrospinal fluid from the ventricle and directs it to a tubing (T) that leads it to the distal region of the user in order to avoid overdrainage of this fluid due to pressure differentials caused by physiological and postural factors of the user through membrane performance (8). The present mechanism (M) stands out for providing a concentric fluid path using reverse flow when compared to the flow in neurological valves in the state of the art and having components and manufacturing process that allows a cost affordable to all healthcare systems. .
