Abstract

"ACOPLAMENTO DE CONDUTO SUBMARINO COM PORTA DE PASSADIçO". Trata-se de um acoplamento que é revelado para canalizações tubulares. As metades de acoplamento macho e fêmea são adaptadas para proporcionar um caminho de conduto direto quando unidas. Em uma modalidade preferida, o membro macho possui uma porta corrediça que abre automaticamente quando as metades de acoplamento são encaixadas e que fecha o passadiço central automaticamente quando as metades de acoplamento são separadas. A porta impede que resíduos entrem no passadiço central quando o acoplamento é desencaixado. Esta é uma vantagem particular nos ambientes submarinos. O acoplamento pode incluir vedações para proporcionar uma conexão à prova de fluído entre os membros macho e fêmea.
