Abstract

ELETRODO DE BASTãO. A presente invenção refere-se a um eletrodo de bastão para depositar um friso de metal de alta resistência em uma peça de trabalho onde a intensidade de resistência do metal de solda é de cerca de 13,17-19,37 kg/cm¬ 2¬ (85 ksi a 125 ksi) independente da taxa de resfriamento. O eletrodo deposita o metal de solda tendo cerca de 0,8-1,85% em peso de manganês, cerca de 0,25-0,50% em peso de molibdênio, cerca de 1,25 -2,50% em peso de níquel, e menos que cerca de 0,07% em peso de carbono, em que as proporções de carbono, manganês e molibdênio são ajustadas para fornecer um equivalente de carbono do metal de solda depositado na faixa de cerca de 0,17 a 0,30 e de preferência menos que 0,22.
