Abstract

PROCESSO DE CONTROLE INSTANTáNEO DA PRECIPITAçãO DO NìQUEL E COBALTO PRESENTES NA LIXìVIA, UTILIZANDO AJUSTE DO PH DA SOLUçãO, compreende as etapas de ajustar o pH de uma lixívia contendo níquel, cobalto e outros elementos dissolvidos no processo de lixiviação ácida sob pressão, uma vez que a concentração de equilíbrio em solução dos elementos que se deseja precipitar (níquel e cobalto) varia em função do pH, sendo que dito ajuste ocorre depois da solução de lixívia ser submetida a pelo menos uma etapa anterior de precipitação seletiva dos componentes alumínio, ferro férrico, ferro ferroso, cromo, entre outros, por meio de ajuste de pH utilizando um reagente adequado tal como cal e/ou calcáreo; através do segundo ajuste de pH um controle instantâneo de precipitação de níquel e cobalto é feito, e como conseqüência o níquel e cobalto precipitarão desta lixívia; estes precipitados separados da solução empobrecida em níquel e cobalto serão posteriormente usados em refinarias para a recuperação destes elementos.
