Abstract

"SENSOR DE OCUPANTE E MéTODO PARA CINTO DE SEGURANçA OU OUTRO MONITORAMENTO". A presente invenção refere-se a um sensor de ocupante com uma disposição complexa de antena ou uma única antena que determina a característica de carga ou descarga da antena. Com a determinação da carga na tensão ou corrente da antena como uma função de tempo, qualquer ocupante pode ser detectado ou caracterizado. O sensor restringe a ativação do airbag ou é usado para outra finalidade. O mesmo sensor de ocupante ou um sensor de ocupante diferente é usado para sinais de advertência de cinto de segurança. Um sensor de engate de cinto de segurança irá determinar se um cinto de segurança está sendo usado. O sensor de ocupante irá determinar se o cinto de segurança deve ser usado. Um motorista será advertido quando um cinto de segurança tiver que ser usado por um ocupante, mas não é.
