Abstract

CODIFICAçãO HIERáRQUICA DE àUDIO MULTICANAIS COM INFORMAçõES COLATERAIS COMPACTAS. Uma representação paramétrica de um sinal de áudio multicanais descreve bem as propriedades espaciais do sinal de áudio com informações colaterais compactas quando as informações de coerência, que descrevem a coerência entre um primeiro e um segundo canais, são obtidas dentro de um processo de codificação hierárquica somente para pares de canais que incluem um primeiro canal tendo somente informações de um lado esquerdo em relação à uma posição de audição e incluindo um segundo canal tendo somente informações de um lado direito em relação à uma posição de audição. Como dentro do processo hierárquico os canais de áudio múltiplo do sinal de áudio passam por downmix iterativamente para canais monofónicos, é possível escolher os parâmetros relevantes de uma etapa de codificação envolvendo somente os pares de canais que transportam as informações necessárias para descrever as propriedades espaciais do sinal de áudio multicanais.
