Abstract

REATOR CATALìTICO COMPACTO PARA SìNTESE FISCHER-TROPSCH, PLANTA PARA CONVERTER GáS NATURAL EM HIDROCARBONETOS DE CADEIA MAIS LONGA, E REATOR FISCHER-TROPSCH. Um reator catalítico compacto para síntese Fischer-Tropsch (50) compreende um módulo reator (70) defmindo uma multiplicidade de primeiro e segundo canais de fluxo dispostos alternadamente, para transportar uma mistura de gás e um fluido refrigerante, respectivamente. Uma estrutura de catalisador (82) permeável a gás, removível, com um substrato, por exemplo, de folha de metal, é provida em cada canal de fluxo em que deve ocorrer a reação de síntese. O módulo reator (70) é encerrado dentro de um vaso de pressão (90), sendo a pressão dentro do vaso de pressão estabelecida para estar a uma pressão substancialmente igual à da mistura de gás de reação em alta pressão. ConseqUentemente, todos os canais de fluxo, dentro do módulo, estão ou na pressão de seu ambiente, ou estão sob compressão; nenhuma parte se encontra sob tensão. Isto simplifica o projeto do módulo, e aumenta a proporção do volume do reator que pode ser ocupada pelo catalisador.
