Abstract

MéTODO E APARELHO PARA CONTATAR BOLHAS E PARTìCULAS EM UM SISTEMA DE SEPARAçãO POR FLUTUAçãO. A presente invenção refere-se a um aparelho de separação por flutuação para separar partículas em suspensões, que alimenta a pasta fluida contendo as partículas através de uma entrada (10) para dentro de um contator (16) onde o gás é alimentado através de uma entrada (12) para misturar com a pasta fluida, por exemplo, em um jato mergulhador descendente (14) para formar uma mistura bifásica borbulhante de gás-líquido sob pressão de uma restrição de saída em um duto de estrangulamento (18). A mistura é passada através de um manipulador de fluxo configurado para induzir uma alta razão de dissipação de energia, por exemplo, por meio de uma onda de impacto formada em uma seção de divergência do duto de estrangulamento (18) reduzindo o tamanho das bolhas e trazendo essas bolhas para contato íntimo com partículas na mistura que é liberada para dentro de uma célula de separação (21) onde um tubo de tiragem de manipulação de fluxo (20) é provido para reduzir a turbulência na mistura. Aparelhos alternativos e métodos para induzir a alta razão de dissipação de energia e para reduzir a turbulência na mistura são também descritos e reivindicados.
