Abstract

PRODUçãO DE POLìMEROS EM UM REATOR CÈNICO. A presente invenção provê um processo para a preparação de um polímero, o qual compreende as etapas de: i) alimentar uma mistura aquosa compreendendo um monómero insaturado monoetilênico ou uma mistura de monómeros insaturados monoetilênicos e um iniciador para o topo de um reator; ii) polimerizar o monómero insaturado monoetilênico de modo a formar uma mistura aquosa do tipo gel compreendendo o polímero; iii) comprimir a mistura aquosa do tipo gel compreendendo o polímero fora do fundo do reator usando um gás inerte; em que o reator é um reator totalmente cónico vertical tendo um ângulo (<244>) entre o diâmetro do topo (dl) do reator e a parede interna do reator menor que 90°, porém maior que 45°, ou é feito de até 2 a 5 peças totalmente cónicas verticais conectadas, umas sobre as outras, cada qual tendo um ângulo entre o diâmetro de topo da peça e a parede interna da peça menor que 90°, porém maior que 45°
