Abstract

COMPOSIçãO DE POLIETILENO, PELìCULA, E ARTIGO TERMOFORMADO. Divulgam-se composições de polímero de etileno compreendendo uma resina de polietileno de alta densidade e alto peso molecular e uma resina de polietileno de baixa densidade, onde a composição polimérica tem uma resistência à fusão comparativamente elevada para um dado índice de fusão. As composições compreendem de 25 a 99 por cento em peso da composição de polímero de polietileno linear ou substancialmente linear tendo uma densidade de pelo menos cerca de 0,90 g/cm^ 3^, e um I~ 21~ menor que cerca de 20; e de 1 a 25 por cento em peso da composição de uma resina de polietileno de baixa densidade em alta pressão tendo um índice de fusão (I~ 2~) menor que cerca de 5, uma distribuição de peso molecular maior que cerca de 10, uma razão M~ w_abs~/Mw~ _gpc~ (Gr) de pelo menos 2,7, e uma resistência à fusão a 190°C maior que 19,0-12,6*log~ 10~ (MI). As composições da presente invenção são particularmente bem apropriadas para película expandida e aplicações de termoformação.
