Abstract
GRAXAS LUBRIFICANTES CONTENDO DITIOCARBAMATOS DE ANTIMÈNIO. é sabido que o ditiocarbamato de antimónio proporciona proteção contra pressão extrema (EP) em composições lubrificantes, tal como graxa. Contudo, existe a vontade de se reduzir a quantidade de antimónio usada em tais composições, enquanto mantendo ainda o desempenho aceitável sob EP. Descobriu-se agora mediante uso de pequenas quantidades quer seja de ditiocarbamato de amónio ou de ditiocarbamato de zinco em combinação com o ditiocarbamato de antimónio (SbDTC), uma quantidade inferior de SbDTC pode ser usada na composição lubrificante enquanto ainda mantendo excelente ou excepcional proteção contra EP. Para neutralizar os efeitos corrosivos do SbDTC e composição de ditiocarbamato de amónio, descobriu-se que os compostos contendo um grupo de ácido carboxílico são eficazes para evitar a corrosão do cobre.
