Abstract

SISTEMA E MÉTODO PARA CODIFICAÇçO E DECODIFICAÇçO ESCALONÁVEIS DE DADOS MULTIMIDIA UTILIZANDO MéLTIPLAS CAMADAS. É revelado um método para processar dados multimídia que estão associados a várias camadas. O método pode incluir determinar uma camada base residual e efetuar predição inter-camada de modo a gerar uma camada de aperfeiçoamento residual se pelo menos um de vários coeficientes não zero de camada base residual ou de vários coeficientes zero da camada base residual satisfizer uma primeira condição selecionada.
