Abstract

TOLERáNCIA AO ESTRESSE EM PLANTAS. Polinucleotídeos de fator de transcrição e polipeptídeos incorporados em vetores de expressão foram introduzidos em plantas e foram ectopicamente expressados. Foi mostrado que plantas transgênicas transformadas com muitos desses vetores de expressão são mais resistentes à doenças (em alguns casos, mais de um patógeno) ou mais tolerantes a um estresse abiático (em alguns casos, mais de um estresse abiático). O estresse abiático pode incluir sal, estresse hiperosmótico, calor, frio, estiagem ou baixas condições de nitrogênio.
