Abstract

CONEXÃO COM DIFERENTES TIPOS DE REDE POR MEIO DE UMA INTERFACE COMUM COM O USUÁRIO A presente invenção descreve uma tecnologia pela qual as conexões de rede são unificadas em uma única interface com o usuário para que o usuário interaja com essas redes. Ao receber informações que identificam redes disponíveis que correspondem a diferentes tipos de mídia, um componente de interface com o usuário agrega as conexões de rede disponíveis e exibe representações das conexões de rede disponíveis na interface com o usuário. O resultado é uma única página de interface com o usuário na qual as redes disponíveis são representadas como conexões de rede disponíveis que podem corresponder a destinos, por exemplo, por meio da exibição de um nome de rede e ou um nome amigável ao usuário mantido em um perfil de rede. Também podem ser exibidos: a condição de conectividade, informações relativas à segurança, informações de potência de sinal para conexões de rede sem fio, e outras informações.
