Abstract
Dispositivos Fotovoltaicos de Conversão de Luz em Energia Elétrica.Resumo. Um dispositivo fotovoltaico para converter luz em energia elétrica inclui um filme (16, 26, 36) de nanopartículas de silício. O filme de nanopartículas de silício, que pode ser um filme de camadas múltiplas, tem uma resposta de fotoluminescência e associa luz e ou eletricidade às camadas semicondutoras. Um dispositivo fotovoltaico exemplificativo particular da invenção inclui uma célula solar que aceita e converte luz de uma faixa de comprimentos de onda predeterminados em energia elétrica. Um filme contendo nanopartículas de silicio luminescentes é oticamente acoplado à célula solar. O filme tem uma espessura predeterminada, O filme responde à radiação incidente e produz luz ou resposta de elétrons na faixa de comprimentos de onda predeterminados que é oticamente acoplada na célula solar.
