Abstract
DISPOSITIVO QUEIMADOR E MÉTODO DE COMBUSTçO. Trata-se de um dispositivo queimador compreendendo (a) um corpo alongado possuindo uma periferia, uma extremidade de descarga adjacente a uma zona de combustão, e um eixo geométrico, em que o eixo geométrico se estende para o interior da zona de combustão; (b) um ou mais bocais de oxidante dispostos na extremidade de descarga do corpo alongado e adaptados para descarga de um oxidante gasoso para o interior da zona de combustão; e (c) um ou mais bocais de combustível dispos.tos na extremidade de descarga do corpo alongado e adaptados para descarga de um combustível para o interior da zona de combustão. Pelo menos um dos bocais de oxidante e de combustível é caracterizado por um fator de conformação, <sym>, que e superior a cerca de 10, em que <sym> é um parâmetro sem dimensão definido como <sym> = P²/2A em que P é a dimensão de perímetro da abertura de descarga e A é a área da abertura de descarga.
