Abstract

SISTEMA E MéTODO COMPATìVEIS COM CARACTERìSTICAS DE IMPRESSORA EM UM AMBIENTE DE IMPRESSãO DE IPDS. A presente invenção refere-se a um sistema e um método que são postos à disposição para tomar compatíveis características baseadas em impressora em um ambiente de impressão de IPDS. O sistema e o método possibilitam à impressora designar identificadores de página lógicos a páginas de IPDS e rastrear as mesmas internamente. A impressora apenas informa o estado ao computador hospedeiro para páginas marcadas como páginas geradas pelo hospedeiro. Páginas geradas pela impressora não estão incluídas nas contagens de páginas de IPDS. Isso possibilita que se invoque características avançadas baseadas em impressora, sem corromper as contagens usadas pelo computador hospedeiro, para recuperação de erros e gerência de trabalhos de impressão no ambiente de impressão de IPDS.
