Abstract

REATOR TUBULAR PARA FOTOCATÁLISE HETEROGÊNEA DE COMPOSTOS ORGÂNICOS. A presente invenção trata de um reator tubular fotocatalítico e de um processo, utilizando este reator, para tratamento de água contaminada com compostos orgânicos provenientes de fontes naturais ou de processos industriais. Para alcançar a mineralização total dos poluentes, são utilizados dois catalisadores constituídos de semicondutores. Os catalisadores são constituídos de diáxido de titânio e diáxido de zircônio (TiO~ 2~/ZrO~ 2~), os quais, na forma de um filme misto, são depositados sobre um substrato e ativados com luz artificial proveniente de uma lâmpada de luz negra. A presente invenção tem seu uso no tratamento de águas superficiais e subterrâneas contaminadas com compostos recalcitrantes aos tratamentos convencionais e no tratamento de diversos efluentes provenientes de processos industriais e/ou domésticos.
