Abstract

AGLOMERADOS AUTO-REDUTORES PARA PRODUÇçO DE FERRO-LIGAS, PROCESSO PARA PRODUÇçO DE AGLOMERADOS AUTO-REDUTORES E PROCESSO PARA PRODUÇçO DE FERRO-LIGAS. A presente invenção refere-se ao processo de produção de ferro-ligas caracterizado pelo uso de aglomerados auto-redutores, que propiciam uma redução de consumo de energia elétrica, uma maior produtividade e um maior rendimento de recuperação metálica quando comparado aos processos convencionais. Este processo é constituído de duas etapas: a pré-redução dos aglomerados auto-redutores e sua posterior redução/separação final em forno de alta temperatura. A composição para aglomerados auto-redutores contendo minério e/ou concentrado contendo elementos formadores de ferro-liga compreende: (a) minério e/ou concentrado contendo elemento(s) de ferro-liga; (b) dois tipos (i) e (ii) de agentes redutores empregados simultaneamente: (i) um ou mais redutores a base de carbono; (ii) um ou mais redutores metálicos a base de: silício, ou alumínio, ou cálcio, ou magnésio, ou de suas misturas; (c) um ou mais agentes aglomerantes (d) um ou mais agentes fluxantes (e) outros componentes conhecidos do homem da técnica.SELF-REDUCING AGGLOMERATES FOR IRON-ALLOY PRODUCTION, PROCESS FOR PRODUCING SELF-REDUCING IRON ALLOYS AND PROCESS FOR IRON-ALLOY PRODUCTION. The present invention relates to the ferroalloy production process characterized by the use of self-reducing agglomerates, which provide a reduction of electric energy consumption, a higher productivity and a higher metal recovery efficiency when compared to conventional processes. This process consists of two steps: the pre-reduction of the self-reducing agglomerates and their subsequent reduction / final separation in a high temperature oven. The composition for ore-containing self-reducing agglomerates and / or concentrate containing ferroalloy forming elements comprises: (a) ore and / or concentrate containing ferroalloy element (s); (b) two types (i) and (ii) of reducing agents employed simultaneously: (i) one or more carbon based reducers; (ii) one or more metal reducers based on: silicon or aluminum or calcium or magnesium or mixtures thereof; (c) one or more binding agents (d) one or more fluxing agents (e) other components known to the person skilled in the art.
