Abstract
RASTREAMENTO DE POSIçãO IMUNE A DISTORçãO UTILIZANDO EXTRAPOLAçãO DE FREQüêNCIA. A presente invenção refere-se a um método para rastrear uma posição de um objeto que inclui gerar campos magnéticos de corrente alternada (CA) em duas ou mais freqüências em uma vizinhança do objeto utilizando pelo menos um gerador de campo. Os campos CA são detectados utilizando um sensor de campo associado com o objeto. Pontos de dados de CA correspondentes que são indicativos de amplitudes e de direções dos campos CA no sensor de campo são produzidos, em que pelo menos alguns dos campos CA detectados estão sujeitos a uma distorção. Uma dependência dos pontos de dados de CA sobre as freqüências dos campos CA é extrapolada para uma freqüência alvo de modo a determinar as amplitudes e as direções dos campos CA com um nível reduzido da distorção. As coordenadas de posição do objeto em relação ao pelo menos um gerador de campo são calculadas em resposta aos pontos de dados extrapolados.
