Abstract

PISTãO PARA INJEçãO DE METAL FUNDIDO. O pistão para injeção de metal fundido é acoplado a uma haste de acionamento (15), axialmente deslocável no interior de uma câmara de injeção (10) do tipo câmara quente e apresentando uma parede lateral cilíndrica (11) O pistão (20) compreende: uma porção mediana (21) com diâmetro externo substancialmente menor que o diâmetro da câmara (10); duas porções extremas (22,23) fixadas, cada uma, em um respectivo extremo da porção mediana (21) e apresentando diâmetro ligeiramente menor que aquele da câmara (10). Uma das porções extremas (22,23) é acoplada à haste de acionamento (15) e sendo que pelo menos uma delas é fixada, de modo removível, à porção mediana (21) para que anéis de vedação (30) sejam montados em torno da porção mediana (21), sendo ditos anéis dimensionados para serem circunferencial e elasticamente forçados contra a parede lateral cilíndrica (11) da câmara de injeção (10) .Um anel separador flutuante (40) é montado em torno da porção mediana (21), entre cada dois anéis (30) consecutivos.PISTON FOR CAST METAL INJECTION. The molten metal injection piston is coupled to an axially displaceable drive rod (15) within a hot runner type injection chamber (10) and having a cylindrical sidewall (11). The piston (20) comprises: a median portion (21) with an outside diameter substantially smaller than the diameter of the chamber (10); two end portions (22,23) each attached to a respective end of the middle portion (21) and having a diameter slightly smaller than that of the chamber (10). One of the end portions (22,23) is coupled to the drive rod (15) and at least one of them is removably attached to the middle portion (21) so that sealing rings (30) are mounted around of the middle portion (21), said rings being sized to be circumferentially and elastically forced against the cylindrical side wall (11) of the injection chamber (10). A floating separating ring (40) is mounted around the middle portion (21) , between each two consecutive rings (30).
