Abstract

GAXETA DE AçO DE CAMADAS MúLTIPLAS Uma modalidade apresenta uma gaxeta de aço de camadas múltiplas que inclui uma porção de corpo metálica tendo uma periferia externa, uma superfície de corpo superior em geral definindo um primeiro plano. Pelo menos uma abertura cilíndrica formada na porção de corpo metálica e definida por uma superfície de abertura interna. A gaxeta também inclui um inserto de vedação de combustão incluindo uma primeira camada de inserto tendo uma primeira periferia externa, uma primeira superfície de inserto superior e uma primeira superfície de inserto inferior. A primeira periferia externa é circunscrita pela superfície de abertura interna. A primeira camada de inserto inclui uma primeira porção de filete de inserto. A gaxeta ainda inclui uma primeira camada de vedação tendo uma primeira superfície de vedação superior e uma primeira superfície de vedação inferior. Porções da primeira superfície de vedação interior estão seletivamente em contato com cada uma dentre a superfície de corpo superior e a primeira superfície de inserto superior. A compressão da primeira porção de filete de inserto é seletivamente limitada pela porção de corpo.
