Abstract
MéTODO E APARELHO PARA A CARACTERIZAçãO DE ESQUEMAS DE MODULAçãO EM UMA REDE HFC os esquemas de modulação de uma rede são analisados para se determinar quais contêm um ruído de fase excessivo ou uma interferência de banda estreita. Um elemento de rede é selecionado e atribuído a um canal de teste em um primeiro esquema de modulação em um nível de potência predeterminado para a obtenção de uma PER. O elemento de rede transmite um sinal de teste e o controlador de rede mede a relação de sinal para ruído (SNR) no sinal de teste recebido. Se a SNR não estiver em uma faixa de tolerância predeterminada de uma SNR estimada para o esquema de modulação na PER predeterminada, o esquema de modulação será determinado como tendo um ruído de fase excessivo ou uma interferência de banda estreita. Cada esquema de modulação disponível é testado pela instrução do elemento de rede para transmitir o sinal de teste usando cada esquema de modulação e atribuindo o nível de potência de cada esquema de modulação. Os esquemas de modulação adequados podem ser determinados.
