Abstract
CIRC é o circuito de proteção.CIRCUIT FOR SURGE PROTECTION DEVICES IN A PUBLIC USE PHONE. With just a single circuit configuration, printed circuit board and connectors, it allows to fit several models of various TUP models, featuring surge protection device (DPS) with protection elements EP1 and EP2, respectively three-pole spark arrester. gas and surge suppressor thyristor with a maintenance current exceeding one hundred eighty milliamperes (IH> 180 mA). It may also feature a surge protection device (DPS) fitted with EP1 and EP2 protection elements, using EP1 as a series association of bipolar with the common point as the third pole, and EP2 surge suppressor thyristor with a maintenance current greater than one hundred. and eighty milliamperes (1H> 180 mA). Features PTC1 and PTC2 regenerable fuses for overcurrent protection on the LA and LB lines. Overvoltages generated by electrical surges coming from the communication lines LA and LB cause the protection element EPI to actuate, which protects in common mode between the line LA and the ground and between the line LB and the earth; wherein the EP2 component will provide transverse protection, ie between lines LA and LB; PTC1 and PTC2 components have impedance under normal operating conditions and, in case of overcurrent in LA or LB, act as regenerable fuses. Elements A, B, O, D and E represent the holes in the PCB that allow the card to be installed and fixed in payphones of various manufacturers and models via screws. The private communication line input to the protection circuit is via connector CON1, being suggested as an example in the illustrated configuration, the lever connector. In this connector, when a force is exerted on the levers, the connection channel opens allowing the connection and insertion of the telephone connection wires. The private circuit communication line output of the protection circuit is via CON2, being suggested as an example in the illustrated configuration, the RJ11 type output connector. CIRC is the protection circuit.
