Abstract
APARELHO DE COMUTAçãO ELéTRICA E MéTODO PARA DISTINGUIR UMA FALHA EM UM CIRCUITO DE ENERGIA. Um disjuntor inclui um primeiro terminal e um segundo e terceiro terminais acústicos conectados eletricamente a um circuito de energia. Contatos separáveis são conectados eletricamente em série entre o primeiro terminal e o segundo terminal acústico. Um mecanismo operacional abre e fecha os contatos separáveis. Um primeiro sensor acústico está acoplado ao segundo terminal acústico e detecta um primeiro sinal acústico a partir do segundo terminal acústico. Um segundo sensor acústico está acoplado ao terceiro terminal acústico e detecta um segundo sinal acústico a partir do terceiro terminal acústico. O primeiro e segundo sinais acústicos estão operativamente associados com uma falha de circuito de energia. Um sensor de corrente detecta uma corrente fluindo entre o primeiro e segundo terminais. Um circuito alimenta os sinais acústicos detectados e a corrente detectada e detecta e distingue uma falha de arco em paralelo ou uma falha de arco em série a partir dos sinais acústicos detectados e da corrente detectada.
