Abstract

ESTRUTURA SEMI-SUBMERSÍVEL DE CALADO PROFUNDO. Uma estrutura semi submergível de calado profundo onde o semi-submersível tem um centro de gravidade abaixo de seu centro de flutuabilidade e a estrutura é uma embarcação flutuante com pelo menos três colunas flutuantes orientadas verticalmente. Cada um das colunas flutuantes orientadas verticalmente tem pelo menos um compartimento lastreado e as colunas são separadas por uma distância suficiente para reduzir a amplitude da vibração induzida por vórtex. Há pelo menos duas treliças de conexão vedadas estruturais conectadas às colunas abaixo do nível do mar, elas estando posicionadas para minimizar a ação hidrodinâmica da onda sobre as treliças e para transferir cargas de cisalhamento entre as colunas enquanto permanecem transparentes ao movimento da onda e corrente oceânicas.
