Abstract

An inlet flow control device for restricting flow into a passage of a tubular column in a well bore includes at least two of a flow restricting section, a fluid discriminating section and a reverse flow blocking section, and the inlet flow control device is configured such that fluid flowing through an exterior of the tubular column and the passage also flows through each of the at least two sections. A well or casing includes a filter or an inlet portion and an inlet flow control device including a flow restricting section, a fluid discriminating section, and a reverse flow blocking section, the flow control device. The inlet being configured such that fluid flowing through the filter portion also flows through the flow restricting, fluid discriminating and reverse flow blocking sections.
