A presente invenção proporciona um processo de remoção de metais pesados de líquidos, como efluentes de origem industrial ou doméstica, que utiliza uma bactéria capaz de remover tais metais pesados do efluente. Em especial, a bactéria utilizada na presente invenção é escolhida do grupo das bactérias do gênero Rhodococcus, mais especificamente, Rhodococcus opacus que adsorve metais pesados, como cromo, chumbo, cádmio, zinco e cobre de soluções aquosas.BIO ADHESIVE AGENT OF HEAVY METALS, COMPOSITION CONTAINING THE SAME AND PROCESS FOR REMOVAL OF HEAVY METALS. The present invention provides a process for removing heavy metals from liquids, such as effluents of industrial or domestic origin, using a bacterium capable of removing such heavy metals from the effluent. In particular, the bacteria used in the present invention is chosen from the group of bacteria of the genus Rhodococcus, specifically Rhodococcus opacus which adsorbs heavy metals such as chromium, lead, cadmium, zinc and copper from aqueous solutions.
