Abstract
PROCESSO PARA A PRODUçãO DE MAGNéSIO E DE LIGAS DE MAGNéSIO DE GRãO REFINADO. A presente invenção refere-se ao processo para a produção de Mg e de ligas de Mg de grão refinado pela solidificação de Mg fundido ou de ligas de Mg fundidas na presença de partículas de ZrB~ 2~ ou de ZrC levando a uma microestrutura de grão refinado. As partículas têm um tamanho médio das partículas menor do que 20 pm e maior do que 0,1 pm e ou são produzidas por uma formação in situ dentro da massa fundida ou por um tratamento a alta temperatura de misturas íntimas de óxido de zircónio e negro-de-fumo e no caso de ZrB~ 2~ adicionalmente uma fonte de boro adequada como carbureto de boro ou óxido de boro por um procedimento de moagem e desaglomeração. O processo de acordo com a invenção leva a Mg ou a ligas de Mg de grão refinado com um tamanho médio do grão menor do que 100 <sym>m.
